Trigger Point Dry Needling and Acupuncture with Electrical Stimulation

Dry needling technique uses small needles to get rid of trigger points or "knots" within a muscle. Trigger points cause pain and restricted movement. The needles create a local twitch response to get part of the muscle to release.  Added electrical stimulation helps with pain relief, and gets the muscle to relax.   T

Acupuncture uses the same needles, but there are meridians and points all throughout the body that correspond with certain conditions and pain. The idea is that your body has vital energy called Qi ("chee") that flows throughout your body. When this energy is blocked it can lead to disease and injury. The main purpose of Acupuncture is to restore your energy flow and state of balance

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is a technique used to decrease pain and tightness.  The suction cups helps separate the skin from the muscle and fascia to reduce tightness. It also brings blood flow to the area for healing. This suction creates a negative pressure environment allowing for myofascial decompression as the skin is drawn into the cups. This is a good treatment to relax the muscles and reduce spasm before getting adjusted. This is also a great alternative to people who don't like being needled.

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization
